Paris Olympic Games - Athletics: Track Feed
Standing in the control room of the Stade de France, surrounded by a sea of monitors, I was in the middle of one of the most complex and intense broadcasts of my career: directing the track feed for the Paris 2024 Olympics athletics, working for OBS under the expert guidance of YLE’s Tuomas Jauhiainen, the Integrated Feed Director. With over 30 cameras at my disposal, including Spidercam, Cablecam, and three Track-cams, the task at hand was far more than just capturing the action. It was about creating a compelling story, one that would connect with more than 2 billion viewers worldwide.
For months leading up to the Games, we meticulously planned every detail, preparing for the challenge of real-time engagement. When the athletes took to the track, their stories began to unfold, and it was my responsibility to deliver those moments to the world. Every camera angle, every cut, had to enhance the emotional intensity—from the breath-holding stillness at the starting line to the roaring sprints and final, dramatic finishes. The heart of the job wasn’t just in showing the races—it was in storytelling.
Under Tuomas Jauhiainen’s direction, our goal was clear: deliver a broadcast that was immersive and accessible, allowing fans everywhere to feel like they were right in the heart of the action. This was easily one of the most challenging jobs of my career. The pressure was immense—juggling dozens of cameras, reacting in real-time, all while knowing that billions of eyes were watching. But the payoff? Knowing that viewers around the globe felt connected to the athletes, their struggles, and their victories, as if they were right there in the stadium.
It was the ultimate blend of technical precision and creative storytelling—and the feeling of being part of something so monumental, so global, was nothing short of exhilarating.

IBU Biathlon World Cup 2022 Otepää, Estonia
The Biathlon World Cup is a top-level season-long competition series for biathlon athletes. It has been held since the winter seasons of 1977 for men and 1982 for women.
Due to the rapidly changing situations on the competition course - winner might drop out from top 20 after the bad performance on the shooting range - biathlon should be considered to be one of the most complicated sport disciplines to cover. World Cup season calendar is very busy with events happening on different continents, therefore producing the event in Estonia on 2022 should be considered a big sucess for both to both Estonian Biathlon Federation and Estonian Public Broadcasting who performed as the Host Broadcaster for this competition.

SKI CLASSICS
Ski Classics is a series of long-distance cross-country ski races in classic style that has been held since 2011. In season XII, 2021–2022, the circuit included 15 events in a professional tour for the 35 Pro Teams involved. From 2015 to 2022, the official name of the circuit was Visma Ski Classics, thanks to their main sponsor.[1] The unique thing about the Ski Classics concept is that anyone can start the races: professional or amateur, male or female, 25 or 75 years old. Everyone stands together on the same starting line to face the same weather conditions and course.
Most of the race is usually captured with 3-4 cameras (Steadi-cams) on skidoo’s and with the help of the Helicam. Depending on the event, up to 8 cameras are in the finish area.
I was part of that impressive team for six years, from 2015 to 2021.
Here is a small overview of what we did.
African Championships in Athletics in Nigeria
Nigeria holds a very special place in my heart. Since the most astonishing email with the proposition to join their team in Lagos in 2015, I’ve been working with those cheerful people on several occasions, including LAGOS CITY MARATHON, THE AFRICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS IN ATHLETICS, and NIGERIAN SPORTS FESTIVAL.
